Having grown up in the busy flow of crowded city life, I had never experienced the magic of the forest and its wildlife in my childhood. Once the idea of seeing and photographing wildlife entered my mind, I decided to take my first trip, without much knowledge of wildlife or cameras. The calmness, serenity and beauty of the forest was breath-taking. And when I saw my first wild elephants and a tiger, I was awestruck. It was a feeling of great joy and excitement. So much excitement, that I forgot to photograph my first wild tiger. I was hooked, wildlife and its photography was something that was going to be an integral part of my life.
I am self-taught and have thoroughly enjoyed every minute spent in the wild and learning the art of photography. Every visit to the wild has increased my love and respect for wildlife. India is blessed with a vast number of wildlife species found nowhere else in the world and I love capturing some of India’s finest wildlife.
I rely on two things for wildlife photography, perseverance on finding your subject and spending as much time as possible with your subject.
This website is a showcase of some the magical moments I have been fortunate enough to witness and photograph in the many journeys that I have undertaken in the wild. I hope you enjoy the photo galleries and photo stories.
